My Nesco FD-75PR is a Kitchen Essential

There is a good reason why the Nesco FD-75PR is consistently one of the best selling dehydrators of all time. Yes, you can probably find another dehydrator that costs a few dollars less. I've owned several dehydrators during my time and I have to say, the extra quality and features you pay for in a Nesco is well worth it.

The circulation fan and temperature control are great features you don't see in every model. You should be careful about the temperature setting suggestions, though. The suggestion they have for the beef jerky is a little bit off. As with all dehydrators, you should take the manufacturer's instructions with a grain of salt. Take some time to explore what settings works for you. After all, that process is part of the fun right?

I only wish this model had a timer. If you're one of those people who must turn off every kitchen appliance before you leave the house for the day, this might be a deal breaker for you.

I use my Nesco mainly for making beef jerky. But my wife gets a lot of use out of it as well. So far she's used the Nesco to turn peaches, pineapples, sweet potatoes, and apples into delicious preserves. Get yourself a Nesco. You won't regret it.
