L'Equip dehydrator w/ filter

I have the Filter Pro model and even as I write this I am dehydrating meat for jerky. Tonight will be apples and bananas. Last week I did blueberries and cranberries. I am trying to use it as much as possible since I have only recently bought it as an upgrade to my 20 year old Ronco! If it fails I will send it back.. So far very good results. It iappears to be solid and well made. I like the thermostat control and the timer -- but want to let you know that just because it is square that doesn't mean it doesn't have the hole in the middle. In fact, it does. The heating element and fan is on the very bottom and trays stack on top. The hole in the middle allows air to flow thru as well as in between trays. I have read old reviews about trays warping -- I wonder if L'Equip has fixed that issue. The newer reviews have mostly been positive so I decided to go with it. I didn't want a huge unit and this doesn't take up too much space while I'm using it.
