The Excalibur dehydrators are generally considered the best. They're made in the USA and are built to last a long time. Many food experts, especially the ones focused on health, recommend the Excalibur.
The latest models are the 9-tray 3900/3926t and the 5-tray 3500/3526t. The 2900 was the previous model, and that one seems to be the most popular. It's been around longer and it's cheaper, so many choose that one. Also available are international versions, which have country-specific electrical wiring, so they can be used without an adapter.
