Excalibur 2900 Economy Series

by Zack
(Los Angeles, CA)

I have three dogs and one of them is a Chihuahua, he was 2 or 3 months old when I brought him home. He wouldn?t eat anything and I was really worried for his health so I consulted my vet who suggested me to feed him dehydrated food. So the reason I bought Excalibur 2900 Economy Series 9 Tray Food Dehydrator was primarily to feed my dog but now we use dehydrator for everything. The biggest advantage of dehydrated food is the nutrition value it brings and since the moisture content is so low in dehydrated food it can never be spoiled by growth of organisms, which require moisture to grow. The manual that came with it had dozens of delicious recipes. I have tried almost half of it and they all were great. Some might think that the nine trays are redundant but there is use for each and every one of those nine trays. I am really glad that I decided to get a Chihuahua because if I hadn?t I would have never bought the 9 tray food dehydrator. So now the dogs are healthy, I and my family are healthy and since the dehydrator is very durable we all are going to remain healthy for quite some time.

Excalibur 2900 dries foods fast

by Jake Henny
(Modesto, CA)

I have an Excalibur 2900 dehydrator. You can find the Excalibur 2900 for a price between $200 and $210. 600-watt machine that can dry approximately 40 pounds of fruit at a time.I really like the fact that the Excalibur 2900 dries foods fast. Coupled with the heating element, the fan draws cool air from the back of the machine and distributes it across each tray after the air has heated up. Since each tray is subjected to its own hot air, the drying process is done much more quickly than some other machines. I don't have to worry about rotating the trays at all which is nice. I've never had a problem with it since i've owned it. Always been reliable and efficient. Very quiet to run also. Overall, happy customer.

My Excalibur 9 Tray is fantastic for bulk drying!

by Greg
(Boston)

I had a smaller Nesco dehydrator as a starter, and recently upgraded to the Excalibur 2900 Economy Series 9 Tray Food Dehydrator. I love love love the 9 trays! It's fantastic for our house where we're on a 50% raw food diet. We can do huge batches that last all week. Bonus: the heating element is on the back (instead of the bottom) so regular usage / drippage doesn't affect the heating element. Well worth the upgrade. If you ever wished you had a bigger dehydrator but you're wondering if the $200 price tag for the Excalibur is worth it... let me tell you, it's well worth it.
