I love to dry fruits, but was tired of eating them plain. I developed this granola recipe and keep it on hand in tightly sealed glass jars for a quick snack.
2 apples, cored and coarsely grated
1/2 cup dried apricots, cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup raisins (regular or golden)
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup sliced or slivered almonds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 tbl brown sugar (light or dark)
1 tbl honey dissolved in 1/4 cup water
1/3 cup canola oil
1/2 tea cinnamon
Mix all items in large bowl, spread on solid dehydrator sheet and dry approximately 3-4 hours at 125-130 degrees.
